There were 23 batsmen on the first day of the Cape Town Test, which is a record. However, the record of highest number of wickets falling on the first day was made about 121 years ago. A record maximum of 25 batsmen returned to the pavilion on the first day of the Test between Australia and England. This test was played between the two teams in 1902. However, today 23 players were out on the first day of this test. This is second in the history of almost 150 years of Test cricket.
